What this is
Nota Bene is a free revision-notes library for MYP 4 and MYP 5. It covers six subjects: Standard Maths, Extended Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language & Literature. Each subject is mapped out unit by unit, and notes are written topic by topic, so you can revise a whole unit or fix a single sticking point.
Why it exists
Most revision material is either too thin to teach you anything or too dense to finish. Nota Bene started as one student's own revision folder: the explanations that finally made things click, tidied up and shared so nobody has to relearn them from scratch. It is free because good notes should not sit behind a subscription, and it grows a topic at a time.
How the notes are built
Every note takes a single idea and builds it up from plain language to the technical version, then shows a worked example you can copy the method from. Notes are tied to the four MYP assessment criteria, so revision translates into marks, and most end with quick "check yourself" questions and worked solutions.
Who makes it
Nota Bene is written and maintained by Fayek Jawad Haider, an MYP student. You can connect on LinkedIn. If a note ever gets something wrong, that is a bug worth fixing, not a footnote.
A note on the IB
This is an independent study project. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Subject content follows the standard MYP framework and the progression used by major international schools, and individual schools may teach some topics in a different year.
